Government Energy White Paper = Brown Paper

"Climate change ignored in energy white paper that lets market rule future policy" (The Guardian, 2015-04-08)

http://www.theguardian.com/australia-news/2015/apr/08/climate-change-ign...

The Abbott government today release an white paper describing key issues and strategies for Australia's energy strategies. Unlike the previous two white papers, it does not acknolwedge the threat of global warming, nor does it promote renewable energy.

The report does recommned that the marketplace should be allowed to determine the types of energy that are used and how it is sourced. It also recommnends that energy providers engage in community consultation when planning coal seem gas projects.
